New 2024/25 season: Spektren

Saison-24-25

We are absolutely delighted! We are pleased to present the new 2024/25 season programme ‘Spektren’. The CAMERATA will take you on a journey through the full spectrum of chamber orchestral sound: From Lully, Vivaldi and Handel through Mozart, Mendelssohn and Brahms to Stravinsky, Poulenc, Widmann and Cage. To this end, we have once again brought together today’s leading artists, such as the exceptional violinist Christian Tetzlaff and the baroque master Dorothee Oberlinger, as well as the stars of tomorrow, including the exceptional young pianist Mao Fujita and the young conductor and winner of the Herbert von Karajan Prize, Oscar Jockel. Our artistic partners Hélène Grimaud and Janine Jansen will, of course, also be there. New sounds will be provided by the organ of the Great Hall, which will be heard for the first time in a CAMERATA concert, organ in the Great Hall, played by Christian Schmitt, as well as the French grand master of the jazz accordion, Richard Galliano, on New Year’s Eve and New Year’s Day.

Our usual programme of five season concerts has not been enough to give you a proper taste of this wide range of sounds. That’s why we’ve come up with something special for you: we’re adding an extra seasonal concert to your subscription, featuring our artistic partner Hélène Grimaud at the Großes Festspielhaus! All season ticket holders will come together on a Sunday afternoon for a grand Brahms concert featuring his Piano Concerto No. 1 and his Serenade No. 1, conducted by CAMERATA concertmaster Giovanni Guzzo.

This means the subscription price will increase by the cost of one concert. However, despite inflation and price rises, we are keeping the prices themselves stable for you!

Let yourself be carried away by the rich variety of sound offered by CAMERATA and be inspired by the joy our musicians take in making music. We look forward to seeing you in Salzburg, across Austria and around the world!
