A concert FOR EVERYONE – really, everyone!

For people with and without disabilities

CAMERATA Konzert FÜR ALLE - wirklich alle

Music is for everyone!

Many people are unable to attend a regular CAMERATA concert for various reasons: some require special care, others feel uncomfortable in cramped seating arrangements, or use medical aids that make quiet noises. Furthermore, people who, due to a disability, make sounds or have to cry when the music becomes too moving, may not wish to, or be able to, attend a conventional concert.

No prior knowledge of music is required – entirely in keeping with the inclusive idea that music brings people together. Here, you do not have to adhere to the etiquette of a classical concert, with its unwritten rules, which is often perceived as strict. Anyone who wants to clap between movements is welcome to do so, and anyone who lets out a cry (or two!) of enthusiasm won’t be looked at askance, because this concert really is FOR EVERYONE!

“We do go to concerts quite often, but if my son gets a bit noisy or needs to move about, I usually have to leave the hall. This was the first time I’ve felt free, and we were able to stay.”
Mother of a child with a disability

Text in plain language

It’s that time again: for the second time, there’s a concert for people with and without disabilities. Because music is for everyone!

Many people are unable to attend regular concerts. For example, because they need care, use assistive devices or feel uncomfortable in crowded rows. Some make noises or might laugh or cry when they’re deeply moved – and worry they might disturb others.

This concert is different: on 21 November, the CAMERATA will perform a Mozart programme in the beautiful Carabinieri Hall at the Residenz. There are no strict rules. Anyone who wants to clap or cheer is welcome to do so. No one will be looked at askance. Music brings people together – and this concert really is FOR EVERYONE!
