Let’s get the children moving to the music!
The musicians of CAMERATA Salzburg have always been committed to passing on their enthusiasm for classical music to the next generation. Through the music education projects ‘Papageno Goes to School’ (in nursery, primary and lower secondary schools run by the Diakonie) and ‘CAMERATA Soundscape’ (in grammar schools)children and young people develop social skills, such as learning to engage closely with others within a community, to interact and to listen to one another.
With four inclusive workshops per school year, the musicians from CAMERATA visit the pupils’ classes several times, thereby establishing a lasting connection to classical music.
More and more schools are keen to invite CAMERATA’s musicians into their classrooms. However, as a private association with a self-financing rate of over 80%, CAMERATA Salzburg has only limited financial resources available for music education, and so the orchestra cannot organise enough workshops on its own.
Please help us reach our fundraising target of 30,000 euros so that we can meet all requests from schools and nurseries in the coming 2025/26 school year. Your support will enable us to run over 50 workshops for more than 300 children and young people.

“The CAMERATA Salzburg workshops are incredibly enriching for the children. They are fascinated by classical music and get to know one another on a whole new level.”
