audition for SOLO viola & TUTTI viola
We are currently looking for VIOLA PLAYERS (f/m/d) to fill the positions of
1. SOLO viola
This shared position comprises a minimum 40% role (together totalling a minimum of 80%).
2. TUTTI viola
This position comprises a minimum 60% workload.
Successful applicants will become regular members of the CAMERATA Salzburg orchestra on a freelance basis. Please note that these offers do not constitute a contract of employment.

For applications for the SOLO viola position, please also send a video of yourself playing the first movement of either Hoffmeister, Stamitz, Brahms or Schubert’s “Arpeggione” (no longer than 3 minutes). The video should be recorded in one take and must not be edited. Please send the video via WeTransfer to bewerbung@camerata.at by 3 August 2026.
Auditions will take place in Salzburg on
• 30 September 2026 for SOLO viola
• 17 October 2026 for TUTTI viola.
Travel and accommodation costs cannot be reimbursed. We will send out the relevant sheet music on request.
