If Mozart were still alive, what would you like to say to him?
I would compliment him on his extraordinarily great Da Ponte operas and wish he would compose a second "Figaro."
What do you find particularly appealing about CAMERATA Salzburg?
The special attraction is the freedom and flexibility the musicians enjoy, unencumbered by the constraints of a traditional "service orchestra." As a free ensemble, CAMERATA allows for a more dynamic and adaptable approach to music-making.
What has been your favourite experience with CAMERATA Salzburg so far?
The tour to Japan in 2016, my first tour to another continent, was definitely exciting. In general, there have been many wonderful experiences, partly due to the marvelous concerts, but especially the interpersonal connections with the musicians and the team. We have a lot of fun, engaging conversations, and someone always shares a great Camerata anecdote that I "save" in my imaginary Camerata chronicle.
