Interview

In conversation with Nanni Debus-Malm

Describe CAMERATA in three words from your native language!
Emotion, passion, humanity

What do you want to convey to the audience at your concerts?
I want our music to stir something in the listeners, to give them an emotional experience and to move them with our sound. I want them to leave the concert feeling inspired, excited or calmed. I want concert-goers to feel personally moved by our music.

What do you think makes CAMERATA Salzburg so special?
The CAMERATA sound is deeply human, always meaningful. CAMERATA’s music is created in the moment on stage – spontaneous, powerful and sensitive. There isn’t just one interpretation, but the true interpretation for this particular audience, this particular venue and this particular atmosphere. That is what makes CAMERATA unique.
