Born in Innsbruck, she began playing the double bass at the age of 14 at the Tyrolean State Conservatoire under Walter Rumer, and after completing her Matura, she went on to study double bass and jazz and popular music on the IGP course there.
She then continued her studies at the Vienna University of Music, specialising in double bass with Alois Posch.
This was followed by masterclasses with Johannes Auersperg and courses in ‘Early Music’.
She has been a member of the Camerata Salzburg since 2000.

If the CAMERATA’s music were a culinary speciality from your home country – what would it be and why?
Apricot dumplings. A delicious dessert with a fresh, fruity flavour – and the stone is key!! To top it off, fine, delicate breadcrumbs and melted butter for that melt-in-the-mouth texture...😋
What role does your instrument play when performing with the CAMERATA?
My instrument provides both the foundation and the rhythm. Happiness is when the bass comes in.
What is it that makes the CAMERATA Salzburg so special for you?
The reason I love playing with the Camerata so much is that I get to experience moments of pure joy and goosebumps time and time again.
