CAMERATA YOUNG IN SCHOOLS

CAMERATA Young

Making music together is essential for the personal development of young people. Making music helps children and young people to develop the social skills that so many of them urgently need at present. When subjects such as PE and music lose their importance in schools, a gap is created: children miss out on the opportunity to acquire the skills needed to engage closely with others and interact within a community. CAMERATA Young’s aim is to fill this gap through workshops and concerts, to contribute to the social and cultural development of children and young people, and to spark an enthusiasm for classical music.

Music is for everyone! Music is meaningful to everyone!

In schools and nurseries

Since 2016, CAMERATA has been bringing its guiding principles to schools in Salzburg: emotional engagement, energy, quality, authenticity, a sense of community – and, of course, a passion for classical music. In the workshops ‘Papageno Goes to School’ and ‘CAMERATA Soundscapes’, children and
young people are introduced to classical music through emotional experiences and learn to interact within a community.

CAMERATA Young Inklusion

Inclusion in music education

Integration and inclusion take place when the focus is on the individual. The CAMERATA Young programme is inclusive and enables all children – with and without disabilities – to share an equal experience of music through interactive exchange.

Coming soon

Off to school: We’ve been ‘going to school’ since 2016. Each school year, we run over 50 workshops in nurseries, primary schools and secondary schools – a total of 104 hours.

A passion that’s contagious: over 370 enthusiastic children and young people, to whom we offer easy access to classical music

We’ll be back: Four workshops per class spread throughout the school year

A glimpse behind the scenes: Classes taking part in a dress rehearsal by CAMERATA in the Great Hall of the Mozarteum Foundation
