CAMERATA Salzburg and the French world-class pianist Hélène Grimaud will kick off their joint four-week European tour on 4 May in Salzburg. At the Großes Festspielhaus, the long-standing artistic partners will present a Brahms evening of the very highest calibre. The sensitive pianist says of Johannes Brahms’s monumental First Piano Concerto: “Brahms’ Piano Concerto in D minor has fascinated me from the very first second. It is profound, fiery, romantic – a self-contained world of its own.”&Under the baton of Giovanni Guzzo , the CAMERATA rounds off the programme with his Serenade No. 1 in D major.
