Seasonal Concert No. 4 with Elisabeth Leonskaja and Maxim Emelyanychev

Elisabeth Leonskaja

“It is the music that counts,” says Elisabeth Leonskaja, who always takes a back seat to the composition and creates something truly great from the music itself. Born in Georgia, she used a visa to emigrate to Vienna in 1978 and launched her international career as a pianist from there.

Now the “Grande Dame” is coming to CAMERATA to perform Beethoven’s C minor Concerto. Conductor Maxim Emelyanychev will also be conducting Mendelssohn’s ‘Hebrides’ Overture and Beethoven’s ‘Pastoral Symphony’. A pre-concert talk with Rainer Lepuschitz will take place 30 minutes before the start of each performance in the Wiener Saal.
